**Warehouse Operative**

We are currently looking for a reliable and dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team based in Reading (not sure if you want to say Farley hill) on a part time basis 3 days a week (maybe include ‘a initially’ if potential to be full time). You’ll be joining a family owned business and we’re passionate about providing top quality services for high end interior designers, manufacturers & retailers across the Home Counties and Central London.

You’ll be responsible for receiving, processing, and keeping the warehouse in order doing so accurately and efficiently. You’ll maintain inventory, operate warehouse equipment safely, and ensure a clean and organised workspace kept.

Due to the nature of this role, we will require willingness to go through a DBS check.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Receive, unload, and process incoming deliveries
- Check deliveries received for any damage or issues and record and report as necessary
- Find and prepare orders for jobs accordingly
- Carry out inventory checks and maintain accurate records
- Operate forklifts, pump trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Keep the warehouse clean and organised, adhering to health and safety standards
- Assist with loading and unloading vans as needed
- May be required to occasionally go to sites across the Home Counties and Central London to assist the installation team

**What you’ll bring**:

- Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred (maybe advantageous if you think not preferred)
- Ability to lift heavy objects/furnishings and work in a physically demanding environment (remove if not sure on including or true)
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pump trucks is advantageous as is holding a Reach forklift license however we will help you obtain if not
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and data entry
- You’ll need to have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £12,000.00-£14,000.00 per year
