Security Supervisor

MSS Group is looking for Security Supervisors in Milford Haven.

4 on 4 off shift pattern.

**Job Summary**:
MSS Group is looking for security supervisors to help them with their assigned duties. We are looking for a professional and dedicated individual who is able to work as part of a team and who is willing to help out in other areas of the company as needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To support and assist the Site Security Manager in the day to day running and administration of the security function at SHLNG.
- Deputise for the Site Security Manager as required.
- Provide physical and theoretical training to team members in support of the SHLNG Security Training Matrix.
- Complete the shift handover/takeover to ensure accurate passage of information.
- Command and control security and other related incidents until relieved.
- Provide appraisal and welfare pen pictures for their team personnel as directed by the Site Security Manager.
- Attend pre-planned MSS/SHLNG supervisor meetings on a quarterly basis.

**Duties**:

- To restrict and control access to the establishment and operational buildings/areas by enforcing SHLNG/MSS access protocols.
- To ensure visitor identification is validated and issued in accordance with SHLNG access control policy and procedures.
- Ensure accountability for keys and passes held within the Main Gate House.
- To be proficient in the use of the on-site computer-based CCTV, Access Control and Visitor Management Systems.
- To administer International Ship and Port Security Code related documents, to ensure accuracy for vessel arrivals/departures.
- To monitor security and fire systems and to investigate and respond to alarm activations.
- To assist in implementing emergency action plans and assist with building evacuations.
- To regularly and frequently patrol the site in accordance with site security procedures.
- To respond immediately to any calls for assistance.
- To identify hazards, potential hazards and other issues relating to security/health and safety, taking immediate remedial action if required before reporting accordingly.
- To secure and unlock buildings as directed.
- To build professional working relations with clients, permanent staff, visitors and on-site contractors.
- To accept and maintain an approved qualification as a first aider.
- To use sound judgement and good interpersonal skills when dealing with members of the public and on-site personnel.
- To support, promote and protect the business needs of the client.
- To conform to company and establishment Assignment Instructions & Risk Assessments.
- To conform to client processes and protocols.
- To maintain an in-date SIA qualification.
- To participate in other duties commensurate to the role.

**Essential Experience and Licenses**:

- Have had previous experience in the security industry.
- Have had previous supervisory experience within the manned guarding sector.
- Be physically fit in order to handle weight, equipment, people and patrol effectively by foot.
- Have a calm personality and be capable of controlling difficult situations.
- Be proactive, hardworking, and professional by nature.
- Be flexible to meet the needs of the role, including short notice shift changes.
- Be able to work independently, but also as a member of a team.
- Be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

**Salary**: £25,027.98 per year

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift

- Milford Haven: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
