**What you will be doing**
This is an exciting opportunity to join Thames Water as one of our Electrical Apprentices. You will be learning about new and innovative technologies that will improve the way we work at Thames Water for years to come. You will be working alongside an experienced technician for the duration of your programme and will receive ongoing support from your dedicated mentor on site, line manager and engagement partner who will guide you and help develop your experience to excelwithin your career at Thames Water.
As an Electrical Apprentice you’ll be helping to fault find and find ways to fix all our electrical issues we have on our sites. You’ll be working on electrical equipment which monitors and controls all aspects of Thames Water’s water and wastewater processes,and how they’re performing across the network.?
You will complete the Level 3 Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard - Electrical Pathway. Included in the programme you will also complete the Level 3 City & Guilds Diploma in Engineering.We work with Basingstoke College andyou will be expected to attend the campus in Basingstoke on fortnightly basis with the alternate week being virtual delivery, you may also be expected to attend college on block release, we will support your attendance by paying for your accommodation andtravel expenses in line with our business expense policy.
**We’re looking for you to**:
**The GCSE requirements for our positions are a minimum of two GCSEs at grade 4 or above (A-C), in Maths and English OR functional skills level 2 in Maths and English.** Don’t worry if you don’t have your grades yet, if you are due to sit yourexams this year, we still want to hear from you if your predicted grades meet our requirements.?

- Due to the nature of the role, you will need to live a **maximum of 30-40 minute journey** from your base location.
