This family business are seeking a skilled HR Advisor to join a family business based in Lancaster. You will be joining a business looking to invest into a stand-alone HR professional, this role will have responsibility of all HR day-to-day operations but with external support to help you develop your skills and knowledge.

You will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support for a 350-headcount business. The role will report into a progressive Finance Director, and you will have the added support on an external HR provider to help you on your HR career journey. This role will involve building on-site stakeholder relationships, supporting with HR process, procedure and employee lifecycle.

You will manage the day to day functioning of the HR business and provide general HR advice and guidance including advice to staff and line managers on terms and conditions, standard HR policies and procedures whilst promoting best practice.

**Responsibilities**:

- Update HR policies as required in line with employment law changes and business need.
- Updating templates/forms/processes in line with business need and policy changes
- Overseeing absence and performance management
- Actioning grievance and disciplinary processes and guiding managers on their compliance
- Processing new starters, issuing offer letters and contracts
- Qualified by experience with commercial awareness.
- CIPD qualifications (desirable with support for training progression)
- Professional and approachable with ability to build strong working relations at all employee levels.
- Pro-active approach
- Good understanding of employment laws and practices
- Strong IT knowledge
