It’s a complicated story (I’ll tell you later) but I’ve been part of the Innovative Trials team since January 2017. After completing a degree in Graphic Design and stumbling into clinical research career path many years ago I have finally found a way to merge my education, career experience and creative flair as the Creative Services Manager here at Innovative. I’m known for surprising the office with a creative spin on the term ‘office attire’ with occasional all-season looks from an easter chicken to a giant inflatable snowman.

When I’m not surprising the office, I’m especially proud to be a part of our creative team that includes our awesome inhouse graphic designers and medical writers..and hopefully you.

**Graphic Design at Innovative Trials.**

We bring the vision to life with help from our Clinical Services team and client by adding our creative input into the copy our medical writers have conjured up to inform patients and healthcare professionals about clinical research studies that lead to potential new treatments to advance medical science.

If terms like CMYK, layers, typography, Illustrator or Indesign are everyday words for you then here is the place to learn more about the unique combination of design and clinical research. You don’t have to be a scientist to contribute to discoveries in advancing medical research.

**Why do we need more graphic designers?**

Due to the exciting new projects we are currently working on at Innovative Trials, this position is a great opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in graphic design and looking to expand their professional experience.

As a Junior Graphic Designer at Innovative Trials you will be involved in providing creative support to the project teams in assisting with the creation of high-quality medical communications artwork in specific therapeutic areas. You will be working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to create quality, scientific artwork across a range of media so the creative possibilities are endless

Being proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite; especially InDesign or Illustrator will be essential. Ideally, you will have a graphic design qualification and/or relevant design experience and an eye for detail in spotting issues on artwork files. Experience in a creative agency setting would be helpful, but if you don’t, that’s also okay. Someone who is passionate about gaining more experience in graphic design or exploring the healthcare communications industry, is exactly what I’m looking for

I will do my best to make it fun and I will invest my time in making sure you’re successful, and hopefully I will learn a thing or two from you too.

**Day to day activities will include**:

- Developing the artwork layouts for new projects
- Updating existing artwork files for projects
- Support in the development of branding for new projects
- Contributing new solutions to help improve the design process in the Creative Team
- Supporting the non-project team design needs when required - HR /Marketing artwork
