With roots dating back to the 1970’s, this chartered accountancy firm are one of the longest established accountancy companies in Northamptonshire. With offices across the county and an ever-expanding client base, this is an exciting time to join the business.

The practice has a substantial and growing client base of sole traders, partnerships, Ltd companies, charities, and trusts. My client is recruiting for an Administrative Bookkeeper to join their growing firm of chartered accountants, serving as the eyes and ears of the Northampton office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, aspirational individual to work in our fast-growing firm.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- General Bookkeeping.
- VAT Returns.
- Preparation of management accounts.
- Process sales and purchase invoices for many different clients.
- Bank reconciliations.
- General admin duties.
- Manage and organise workflows.
- Responsible for system administration.

Minimum requirements:

- Previous bookkeeping experience gained within an accountancy practice and the ability to undertake bookkeeping tasks.
- Experience of Sage, Xero and other accounting software.
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
- Ability to take accountability, handle pressure and changing priorities.
- Intermediate MS Office skills including Word and Excel.
- Grade 4/C or above in Math’s and English.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Northampton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
