Hensingham Primary School is a school very much at the heart of the local community it serves. It has a long and proud tradition of educating and inspiring the children in Whitehaven. The Trustees are seeking to employ a Teaching Assistant who is passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and learning, committed to improving the life chances of children.

- Have a passion for working with pupils
- Have the skill to encourage independent learning in the pupils
- Can help create a stimulating and imaginative classroom environment
- Have high expectations of both themselves and pupils
- Work well as part of a team and are flexible and highly motivated
- Hold at least an NVQ 3 in supporting teaching and learning skills or equivalent
