Trainee Estimator

A **Trainee Estimator** is required to work a highly regarded specialist flooring contractor. The company are based close to Dagenham and are proud to have over 50 years in the industry. In this time, they have built key relationshipswith recognised main contractors and now is the time to bring a Junior Estimator into the company. The Trainee Estimator will be working on projects within the commercial, residential, and educational sectors.

The successful Trainee Estimator will be joining a flooring contractor that have around 14 employees, a number which will increase this year. They currently have a turnover of just over £1 million. A large majority of work that the company secure is repeatbusiness which showcases their project satisfaction.

The Trainee Estimator will have the opportunity to join a tight knit team and it is incredibly important to them that the Estimator who joins them is a personable and ambitious individual who is looking to remain with an employer for many years.

**Trainee Estimator - Position Overview**
- Estimating, measuring and planning flooring costs
- Assisting with management of material costs
- Calculate labour costs
- Supporting the wider estimating department
- Creating order files and job sheet
- Securing orders by negotiating contracts
- Obtaining orders for confirmed works
- Additional duties to be discussed at interview stage

**Trainee Estimator - Position Requirements**
- Completion of a construction related degree or qualification
- Within commutable distance of Dagenham
- Looking for a long-term stable position
- Strong communication skills

**Trainee Estimator - Position Remuneration**
- Salary between £20,000 and £24,000
- Ongoing training and support
- 28 days’ holiday including bank holiday
