Workshop Assistant

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Ensure Workshop / Yard area is kept clean and tidy.
- Ensure Yard equipment is stored tidily and safe.
- Ensure ROV equipment is clean and tidy which will include painting (i.e. containers, winches and any other pertinent equipment).
- To assist workshop technicians with maintenance on ROV and Equipment systems in accordance with company procedures and direction of Workshop Supervisor
- To become familiar with and to maintain awareness of clients current requirements and where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations.
- To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with specific procedures.
- Assist with inventory checks carried out on ROV Systems, which may include updating ROV reporting system on computer.
- Assist with labouring duties for Base Technicians.
- Assist with urgent driving duties for the Workshop.
- Assist with Forklift duties as part of maintaining work areas tidy.
- Assist with monitoring of workshop rigging, coshh lockers and portable hand tools
- To ensure his/ her own safety and that of others is not compromised or placed at risk.

**You should have the following experience**:
**COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Preferred_
- Industry training in Mechanical, Hydraulic disciplines
- Forklift Certification (preferred but not essential as training can be provided)
- Experience with using Microsoft Word/Excel

**TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS**:

- Required_
- Previous experience in a similar environment.

**Salary**: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
