Do you have experience of working in Purchase Ledger? Are you a great team player? Do you have excellent attention to detail? We’re looking for a self-motivated Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a large freight forwarder in Wythenshawe on a temporary basis forat least 6 months. It’s a fixed term contract so you’ll be entitled to all the same benefits as a permanent member of staff.

The Purchase Ledger Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day processing and reconciliation of intercompany accounts ensuring invoices are approved, and ledgers are in order.

**About The Job**:

- The role is initially for a period of 6 months, with a view to extending.
- You’ll be processing large volumes of intercompany invoices in various currencies.
- Dealing with reconciliations, discrepancies, and queries internally.
- You’ll maintain communication with operations to notify them of all queries.
- Meet all deadlines at month end.
- Set up new suppliers ensuring all checks are made beforehand.
- You’ll ensure intercompany ledger standing data is thoroughly maintained.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement, making recommendations about systems and controls.

**About You**:

- You will have worked as a purchase ledger and may have experience of inter-company accounting processes.
- You’ll have excellent communication skills and be able to establish positive working relationships internally and externally.
- An understanding of foreign currencies would be desirable.
- You’ll be self-motivated, hardworking, and committed with excellent attention to detail.
- Exceptional organisational skills and can work to tight deadlines.
- Quick to identify problems, you’ll offer resolutions in a timely manner.
- You’ll love working in a sociable team
- You’ll be happy to provide cover within the intercompany team.
- IT skills especially Excel and finance systems.
