**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Site Director, with a dotted line to the divisional HR Director, at our chilled foods site in Carlisle, you will be a key part of the senior leadership team and be instrumental in shaping and delivering site strategy.

This is a key manufacturing site in our Meals Solutions division, and your key responsibilities will include:

- Leading transformational cultural and organisational change, to ensure the business has effective structures in place to drive performance and support future ways of working.
- Ensuring a highly effective HR service is provided to the business, including Learning & Development, Recruitment, Payroll, and Occupational Health.
- Managing and developing the HR team, working to ensure all site objectives are achieved in line with business strategy and are fully compliant with best practice.
- Working to drive employee engagement by ensuring positive employee relations, effective communication strategy, and effectively managing dispute processes and negotiations.
- Implementing effective performance management processes to drive improvements and opportunities for career progression and succession planning.
- Working with the wider HR team across the Meals division to develop and implement group strategy.

**About You**:

- Ideally MCIPD qualified, with prior HR management experience gained in a similar sized food or FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable experience of leading and influencing organisational and cultural change.
- Strong HR generalist background, including significant experience of Employee Relations.
- Experience of negotiating with and working in partnership with trade unions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and, when appropriate, challenge colleagues at all levels.
- Resilient, able to work well under pressure and prioritise a busy workload in a fast-paced environment.
