General Machinist

**General MachinistPosition Overview**
- Operate machinery and equipment following safe practices for machining, Milling, Turning sawing, punching and drilling and assembly operations.
- Verify accuracy of machine/ tooling settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions.
- You will be required to maintain accurate parts and motivation on routine repetitive jobs.
- Be required to maintain cleanliness of machines/work area.
- In process checks will be required by the operator to maintain all required tolerances and quality.
- Completion of all required safety procedures prior to and during operations.
- Communicates all production related items to supervisors.

**General MachinistPosition Requirements**
- Previous experience within a similar position
- Experience working on a range of machines including CNC and Manual
- XYZ Milling machines or Colchester lathe experience is advantageous
- Manual Vertical milling machine experience is preferred
- Must live within a commutable distance of Halstead

**General MachinistPosition Remuneration**
- Full time - permanent position
- Monday to Friday (overtime available paid at x1.3
- Hourly rate - £12 - £13 (DOE)
- 33 days holiday including BH
- Generous pension scheme
