The Team
The Specialist Personal Injury Group represents clients who have suffered serious injury either as a result of an accident, a harmful product or abuse. This includes road traffic, fatal and overseas accidents, employer, public and product liability claims.
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the group for a newly qualified solicitor, chartered legal executive or an individual with equivalent experience. The role will primarily involve assisting senior lawyers representing clients who have suffered injuryoutside of the UK while on holiday, working abroad or in the course of international travel. Typically their clients are injured while on package holidays, in foreign road traffic accidents on cruise liners or on airplanes.
- Direct client contact, including attending clients' homes, dealing with telephone enquiries and updating clients as to the progress of their claims;
- Taking clients' instructions and drafting witness statements and schedules of loss;
- Instructing medical experts to prepare Part 35 compliant reports;
- Obtaining and reviewing medical records and preparing evidence bundles;- Providing clients with explanations of funding arrangements for their claim including CFAs and ATE insurance;
- Instructing counsel and attending in conferences;
- Drafting court orders and documents
