We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, and dynamic paramedics, paramedic practitioners and nurse practitioners from the emergency setting to join our team.

You will be joining our company at exciting times as we rapidly grow and expand the business into long-term medical site cover. If you have an adaptive mindset, robust clinical skills, and previous remote medical experience, then this is the job for you.

**About Alphamed Scotland**

Alphamed Scotland offers the provision of bespoke elite medical support and events cover. Our team of highly experienced emergency medicine and critical care trained clinical staff, complemented by our logistics and operational support staff, provide advanced pre-hospital care to ensure the delivery of safe events and long-term emergency care contracts throughout Scotland.

This position is to provide deployed emergency, urgent and primary care to a remote and rural location in the Highlands of Scotland. This requires the holder to work as an independent medic within their own scope of practice, supported by 24-hour access to a robust telemedical system.

The holder will help to develop the emergency care system on site at the location, including providing medical training to security staff, performing risk assessments, contributing to health and safety procedures and managing the on-site clinical inventory.

The job holder will report to the company’s Clinical Director and Company Chief Executive Officer. The holder will be the face of the company to the client and must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to manage challenging communication situations.

**Key Requirements**

The holder must demonstrate valid HCPC registration in the UK with no warnings, restrictions or supervision required to practice. The holder must have a full UK driving licence and their own car.

The holder should have evidence of a minimum of 2 years post-graduate relevant clinical practice, evidence of ACLS and ATLS/PHTLS or equivalent training and evidence of previous training experience or qualification.

The holder should demonstrate a willingness to help the development of the project and must be a dynamic and dedicated individual who will fit with our collaborative culture.

The job holder will need use of their own vehicle to travel in and around Scotland as part of the role.

**Role Rotational System**

The holder will be required to work for a period of 2-weeks on-site, with day-time clinic hours and overnight on-call. During this time, they will not be permitted to leave the locale of the project or be more than a 5-minute walk from their emergency response vehicle.

The holder will have all food (3 meals a day) and appropriate accommodation provided. They will be given a work vehicle suitably equipped for response to emergencies. At the end of the 2-week on-call period they will handover to the incoming rotational medic.

All annual leave, student leave, professional development time and administration time is built into the 2-week off period.

Capped travel expenses will be covered in addition to the salary, to cover a designated number of return road journeys from Edinburgh for the number of set 2-week rotations within the contract. This journey will be performed in the holder’s own vehicle.

**Role Tasks**

The role will include the following key tasks:

- Provide emergency, urgent, and primary care where required to those on site at the location
- Escalate clinical cases to the on-call telemedical service as required
- Fill in required paperwork relevant to patient care in line with company policies and procedures
