We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our team. As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to fabricate and weld sheet metal components. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge, basic math skills, and the ability to use hand tools and tooling.

Working on a 2-shift rotation, you should be capable of running Bystronic fibre lasers and CO2 lasers. Experience running Trumpf punches is desired, with potential future training provided depending on performance. Experience of working to and understanding engineering drawings is essential in both first and third angle projection. The ability to work unsupervised is required as although in a team of approx. 6 people as the individual will be required to work through various jobs without assistance and setting machine tools. In process inspections are to be carried out at the correct frequency and to the correct standard.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience operating laser cutting machines is essential
- Proficient in using hand tools and tooling
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

**Salary**: From £14.44 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

- Monday to Friday
