Responding to service user feedback the team would like to welcome a house keeper into the team. The house keeper will be expected to work 3 days a week 09:30-14:30. The general duties of the housekeeper are:
- Ordering meals, food preparation and serving
- Kitchen duties including, deep cleans of appliances, fridge checks
- General upkeep of the ward
- Keeping on top of ward stock including PPE
- Liaising with other housekeepers on other wards and kitchen staff
The North West has been recognised as one of the areas in the country with particular access issues around inpatient mother and baby unit capacity. Perinatal mental illnesses are a major public health issue, with between 10 and 20% of women developing a mental illness during pregnancy or within the first year after having a baby. With this in mind, it is extremely important that people have access to these specialist perinatal mother and baby units.
You will be expected to complete all statutory and mandatory trainings identified by our trust which will include the prevention and management of violence and aggression and basic resuscitation and our team are required to support the other mental health units on site when emergencies occur.
