Wickford, United Kingdom Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust Full time

The Widening Access Programme for aspiring psychologist is offering an exciting opportunity for psychology graduates who are interested in developing a career in Clinical Psychology or in the wider psychological professions. The programme is part of a nation-wide initiative to improve equity of access to aspiring psychologists from disadvantaged backgrounds. Therefore, these posts are specifically funded to support those who come from minoritised/ racialised communities and/ or those who have experienced social or economic disadvantage. We will prioritise those who have not yet had experience as an assistant psychologist. This recognises that people from these backgrounds have been under-represented in the applied Psychology professions.

This post provides valuable practical experience under the supervision of a qualified psychologist. Successful applicants will be allocated a qualified clinical supervisor who will manage and supervise their work; there are opportunities across several different service settings including working with older people, working in services for adults with severe mental health difficulties or working with young people and their families. Each successful applicant will be allocated to a service for the duration of their time in this post.
