NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification and/or experience. Previous experience as a Physiotherapy or Health Care Assistant desirable (or equivalent in social care setting). Sensitive attitude towards patients and their carers. Good communication and listening skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). Ability to work flexibly and respond to the changing needs of patients and carers. Ability to work without continuous supervision. Ability to undertake 6-12 months training to include short courses and in house training to achieve desired competencies in manual treatment and therapeutic handling of patients.

Commitment to life long learning and maintenance of a CPD diary The opportunity of gaining further knowledge, skills and expertise will be supported in line with the physiotherapy CPD strategy. Basic IT skills. Current driving license desirable.
