**Vacancies: Board Members and Independent Committee Member.**

Magna is an ambitious and forward-thinking housing association serving customers in the Southwest through the provision of a wide range of housing services to nearly 9,000 homes. With a turnover of circa £50m and employing circa 450 colleagues, we pride ourselves as being large enough to influence but small enough to care.

**The role and what you take care of: (A full Board Member pack, including a summary of each role profile, payment and an introduction to Magna Housing is attached to this advert)**
- We are seeking to appoint two new Board members to increase the range of skills and capabilities that will enable the direction of our new strategy.
- We are seeking individuals with keen experience and knowledge in asset investment, strategic asset management and sustainability, as well as, transformation, digital and innovation.
- We are also shaping a succession plan for when the current asset investment committee chair completes their tenure with us in 2025, so additionally to strengthen the Committee's membership, one of the new board members will join this committee and we are also looking to appoint a further Independent Committee member.

**What you need to be successful**:

- **Strategic leadership and management - vision**, intellectual flexibility, political astuteness, and drive for results. Experience of working at a strategic management level in the commercial, public sector, local / central government policy or charitable sector.
- ** Transformation and change** - successful senior level business capabilities, strategic planning, change management, people transformation and experience (HR), digital roadmap and data strategy.
- ** Commercial acumen / entrepreneurship** - balanced by an understanding of risk awareness, oversight, and management.
- ** Stakeholder relationships** - develop and maintain networks and relationships among key partners such as MPs, local authorities, suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
- ** Customer experience** of the needs, concerns and aspirations of Magna customers / tenants, community development. Community relations and needs including equal opportunity, disability and managing diversity.
- ** Finance** - professional financial and investment expertise, including the raising of finance; treasury, audit, compliance, and risk management.
- ** Analytical** - ability to digest large amounts of information, picking out the relevant points and using the information to support strategic decision making.
