Secondary teaching assistant

Do you have experience handling challenging behaviours within teenagers, especially around those pertaining to mental health? If so you may just be the person I am looking for. Axcis Education are currently in search of someone to take on a 1:1 teaching assistant role supporting a student with mental health difficulties. This is a full time post with a long term commitment and starting in January.

School experience is ideal for the post but experience with difficult behaviours and mental health is more what we are focusing on for this one. A good mental attitude and perseverance are a couple of the qualities we are looking for in the right person. Along with empathy, understanding and firm boundaries. Great skills in building meaningful and long lasting relationships.

Working hours for this post are 8:30-3:30 and Monday to Friday, term time only. This school based in Bath are an all boys school and in close proximity to the city centre. So for anyone that is reliant on public transport its an easy school to get to. Many people we have placed here before through Axcis have enjoyed placements here.
