**Component Prepper / Painter**

**The Role**:
We are currently recruiting for our client based in Leigh on Sea. They are seeking a component Prepper / Painter to join their busy team on a permanent basis.

In this role you will be required to prime and paint components. Component painting requires a knowledge of various techniques used to ensure that paint remains on the correct surfaces, including masking and sanding surfaces.

Component Painters are responsible for maintaining their equipment between jobs and ensuring they are ready for the next task. They also touch-up paints and finishes.

As a Component Prepper / Painter you will be required to:

- Read and understand work instructions, maintenance manuals, operating procedures and customer specification requirements.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of process paperwork and parts control
- Clean and mask surfaces to prepare them for painting
- Mix paints to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
- Follow safety regulations and wear protective gear during spray painting operations
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of the properties of various paints, finishes, and paint removers
- Teamwork and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong hand-eye coordination and proficiency in using tools
- Sufficient physical strength and dexterity to handle aircraft hubs and brake parts
- Knowledge of the use, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
- The job can be a strenuous one and therefore all applicants need to be fit and healthy.

- Late Shift 16.00 - 24.00 Monday - Friday
