Purpose of the role:

- To monitor adherence to existing operational processes, standards, and management systems
- Assist with the maintenance of quality management systems and accreditations
- To effectively support the Quality and Compliance Manager with implementing improvements to deliver business objectives

Main responsibilities:

- Conduct internal audits to assess operational activities against the agreed processes, including the provision of evidence to support compliance assessments.
- Create records of nonconformities and liaise with the relevant department heads where required to agree necessary actions to address requirements.
- Assist in the preparation for, and participation in, external audits e.g., Trustmark, Investors In the Environment, HERS, Constructionline, BM TRADA etc. deputising for the Quality and Compliance Manager when required.
- Create, monitor, and report on action plans relating to internal/external audits.
- Liaise with the Training function to report on action plans relating to quality and compliance training.
- Advise on the prioritisation of tasks to deliver key business objectives most effectively.
- Conduct thorough office and site-based investigations, reporting findings objectively and to the level of detail determined by the Quality & Compliance Manager.
- Undertake customer satisfaction surveys to ensure operational processes are being complied with.
- Monitor actions and trends arising from customer complaints, internal and external audits, identify possible remedies and assist in implementing service improvements.
- Produce regular reports as determined by the Quality & Compliance Manager, identifying trends, progress against plans, and areas which require further focus across the business.
- Assist in the maintenance, creation and storage of documentation and activities required for compliance to company policies, procedures, and quality management systems.
- Work closely with the Quality & Compliance Manager to be able to develop sufficient knowledge to support the rest of the team as and when required.

**KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Qualifications**:

- Good standard of general education including good, applied literacy and numeracy skills

**Experience**:

- At least 1 years’ experience in a similar role

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Assertive nature to ensure compliance with procedures
- Action orientated - able to deal with problems in appropriate timescales
- High standards - demonstrating a motivation to improve standards
- Ability to work on own initiative.

**Knowledge**:

- Knowledge of management systems
- Microsoft Applications.
- Good GDPR knowledge.
