About the Role

We present a fantastic opportunity for a Distillery Operator to join the process team at Cameronbridge Distillery. As a member of the process team, you will play a pivotal role across the full whisky end to end process, from raw material intake, through to fermentation, distillation of finished spirit and effluent handling.

Bringing additional value to our multi-skilled team, you will under-take planned rotations within the team, at times requiring you to work alone. Therefore, you with possess a strong ability to rely on your own initiative to make key business decisions.

Key responsibilities:

- To play a vital role within the end-to-end process, and ensure targets are met relating to volume, quality, efficiency, energy and cost.
- Monitor the plant and identify and analyse any non-conforming deviations from the expected process parameters and take appropriate action where required.
- Ensure production targets of grain distilling volume are delivered.
- Within the self-managed team, you will be the main point of contact for issue resolution for your crew, including people and plant issues.
- You will work effectively in a team to deliver both team and site objectives
- Record and update data in a range of business systems (both electronic and on paper).
- Health & Safety is fundamental to everything that we do, and the role holder will be required to adhere to all H&S procedures, as well as demonstrating an ability to maintain a safe working environment, reporting all and any non-compliance on site.
- The role will include indirect production activity such as project teamwork, Manufacturing Excellence, RCPS, Continuous Improvement, risk compliance, CAPEX etc

This is a full-time permanent role, working on a rotational shift pattern, which includes dayshift, back-shift, nightshift, and core working hours. Given the nature of the role, some flexibility will be required, with over-time opportunities available.

About you

As Health & Safety is at the heart of everything we do, you will have a knowledge and understanding of the Health & Safety, HMRC, environmental principles and relevant legislation under which Cameronbridge operates.

You will possess a working knowledge and understanding of electronic and paper business systems as a means of communicating, recording and accessing information (particularly SAP, outlook, CE2, Intranet databases, ORBIS and LIMS sapphire). Completion or current participation in an external tech
