**Job Title Compliance Officer**
**Reporting to QA Manager**
Jackson Hogg is supporting a growing engineering and general manufacturing company based in Northumberland.
**Role Information**
**The Compliance Officer will**
- Integrate successfully with the existing business, relevant departments, and staff
- Foster excellent relations with clients, staff, and suppliers
- Provide quality services
- Bring new ideas to the business and in particular to enhance the brand, awareness and services
- Have the capacity to deliver a diversity of requirements within a working day
- Have a flexible approach to workload
- Be prepared to travel throughout the UK
**Purpose and Objectives**
Provide the enthusiasm and energy to ensure that the company successfully fulfils its objectives and long-term strategy.
The key objectives of the role are to:
- Manage company documents whilst also ensuring their accuracy, quality, and integrity
- Coordinate with different departments within the organisation, ensuring that documents are kept in the right location and are accessible to all internal services
- Develop and implement systems of control whilst also checking over the quality of documents and monitoring processes
- Manage the processes of distribution of internal correspondence and ensure good relationships with external and internal clients
**Duties and Responsibilities**
The role is focused at achieving results in a consistent manner to a defined quality.
Specific duties will include:
- Controlling, managing, and tracking company documents
- Scanning, organising, and maintaining documents
- Performing edits on documents in a timely manner for different departments before the required submission date expires
- Supervising staff members as they compile documentation, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and correct
- Ensuring that all documents are kept in the right place
- Ensuring that all correspondence documents are well checked and submitted on time prior to the document’s submission due date
- Checking documents for typographical errors, misinformation, spelling, and punctuation errors
- Assisting with regular audits on corporate documents to ensure that all documents are properly submitted to other departments
- Effectively following the company’s standard operating procedures in submissions of documents
- Following up on corrective actions
- Performing other duties in accordance with business needs
**Personal Qualities & Experience**
**Required**
- Knowledge/experience of working to specific ISO BSI standards
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage own workload and prioritise
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at various levels within the organisation
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline driven work environment
- Experience working with Microsoft office (outlook, word, excel and PowerPoint)
**Desired**
- Construction related background working for principal contractors.
- Experience specifically working within Manufacturing & Pharma
- A background in mechanical or electrical trade would be an advantage
- Capacity to understand and check installations against isometric drawings
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift

- Cramlington: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
