Door Supervisor

- Akon Security operate at a variety of sites, including; Pubs, Bars, Nightclubs, Hospitals, Events and Static Guarding. Akon Security are based in Canterbury but operate across Kent. An applicant with access to their own transport who are able to travel to any one of our sites is desirable but not essential to the role._

As an SIA Door Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of our establishment. You will be responsible for monitoring access, responding to incidents, and providing excellent customer service. Your experience in loss prevention, surveillance, and first aid will be valuable assets in this role.

Please note that this position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additionally, all applicants must pass a background check and meet the necessary licensing requirements for door supervision in our jurisdiction.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Carrying out pre-event checks of venues/ sites where necessary.
- Ensure a welcome atmosphere.
- Provide exceptional levels of customer service.
- Act as a highly visible deterrent.
- Ensure the upmost safety of guests and staff within the venue/ site.
- Demonstrate ability to confidently handle conflict and manage difficult situations effectively and professionally.
- Liaise confidently with venue management.
- Deliver outstanding approachable customer service.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and licensing laws.
- Record accurate incident reports in a timely manner.
- Monitoring crowds for disorder and overcrowding.
- Responding to emergencies in a mature and efficient manner.
- Take pride in your smart and professional appearance that will give customers confidence in your ability.
- Be honest by nature and transparent in all you do.
- Demonstrate a passion to provide the finest customer care experience.
- Have strong verbal and written communication to liaise with team members and site managers via radio communication.
- Demonstrate your ability to remain calm under pressure and stay vigilant to security risks.
- Demonstrate Diligence - Being careful and conscientious in all your duties to a consistently high standard of service.
