**Job overview**:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a Clinical Psychology team within a wider Multidisciplinary service that truly collaborates to reflect the holistic needs of the people we are passionate to serve and enable. Opportunities in this role include contributing to trauma informed care cultures, co-produced community psychology initiatives and designing and delivering services to those most in need such as positive behaviour support for families.

**The post is advertised for Band 8a but could be a developmental opportunity for a Band 7.**

**Main duties of the job**:

- No single day is the same but involves:
- Promoting an understanding of the psychological needs of people with learning disabilities and their wider systems.
- Specialist assessment work, often caried out with other members of the MDT and wider multiagency network.
- Co-construction of formulations with clients and their support networks.
- Designing and delivering bespoke psychological interventions.
- Providing psychological advice, supervision and training to assistant psychologists, other psychological practitioners including those in training, other clinical members of the East team who provide psychologically based care and interventions.
- Support the development of MDT practices.
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service/team.
- Utilising critical appraisal to design and deliver audits, service development/evaluation and research benefiting the whole service and wider learning disability community.
