Casual Kennel Assistant

Casual kennel assistant wanted for busy kennels.

Be able to commit to 1 to 6 days per week to include weekends.

Start date: ASAP - Contract Ends: 1st February 2024 (Potential extension depending on performance)

Hours 7.30 am - 5.00 pm (8.5 Hours per day) Meeting national minimum wage.

The role will include caring for dogs, cats and small animals this will include - walking dogs, feeding, cleaning, administering medication if needed, welcoming customers to the kennels, answering phone calls, taking bookings and overseeing drop off and collections.

You must be flexible and available weekdays and weekends.

We are looking for someone who is hard working, reliable, punctual, can work independently and as a team, a can do attitude, not scared to get stuck in to any task, confident with people, a good communicator, organised person, can follow structures and routines and is committed to the job.

Please note we can only accept applicants from the age of 16 or over.

The applicant must;
- Be confident in handling and caring for dogs, cats and small animals.
- Hard working
- Have a natural manner with the public.
- Has a passion for animals.
- A can do attitude
- good communicator
- Must be able to drive as the kennels is situated in a rural area.

Job type - 2 Casual contracts

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
