**GROUNDS ROLE**

Imagine stepping away from the desk and having acres of beautiful grounds as your office? The Grounds team is responsible for managing and maintaining the common areas and forestry at Burton Waters, Lincoln. Our teams are extremely passionate about the environment at Burton Waters, which our residential and commercial leaseholders love to see.

**GROUNDS OPERATIVE | £11.64 per hour.**

You will maintain the estate grounds in accordance with the Management Plan, Standards of Performance and Health and Safety documents, in direct liaison with the Directors and Head of Grounds.

Our client seeks an experienced gardener to help maintain the gardens on a year-round basis following the annual calendar.

Responsibilities will include ensuring that the grounds are clean and tidy; assisting Burton Waters with the management of mature woodland areas and on site areas; assisting with maintenance tasks including but not limited to repairs and other planned or preventative works; mowing and strimming established grassed areas; compost management; propagation; spraying; weeding; rejuvenating beds and pruning; edging and maintaining ornamental landscaping.

Please note that you must also be prepared to work outdoors during periods of adverse weather conditions and attend for additional duties during these times.

**HOURS OF WORK**

Shifts will fall between 7.30am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

As Burton Waters is a secure location, it is managed 365 days of the year. Therefore, your working hours may include the occasional weekend to allow for certain tasks to be completed.

**ABOUT YOU**

**Essential requirements**:

- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience in the use, maintenance and maintaining between services a wide range of gardener machinery and tools.
- Experience working on gardens and grounds
- Spraying Certificate - PA1 & PA6

**Desirable requirements**:

- Previous experience in horticulture trade
- Chainsaw Certificate
- Spraying Certificate - PA1 & PA6

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £11.64 per hour
