**Main Purpose of the Role**

We are looking for a talented, driven individual to join our commercial department as a Commercial Planner. Reporting to the Supply Sales Manager, you will be responsible for planning production orders, liaising with external customers and other departments, and providing administrative support to the supply sales as well as production control team. This is a dynamic office based role and in an environment consistently delivering above target sales figures in line with ambitious business growth plans.

**Key Accountabilities**

**Responsibilities**:

- Forge planning for production orders based on customer required dates.
- Issuing works orders to technical and production control.
- Providing administration support for export compliance and the sales as well as production control team.
- Complete sales contract reviews on orders.
- Communicating with customer liaison frequently with information for customers.
- Enquiring price and availability of material, raising material purchase orders and expediting material when required.

And other reasonable duties and instructions.

**Skills and Experience**

**Essential**:

- Ensure adherence to right first time. Continuous consideration of the quality of one’s own tasks and how this affects others.
- Ability and experience in planning/organising work load.
- Attention to detail.
- Customer service awareness with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Pro-active approach.
- IT skills (Working knowledge of Office packages)
- Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
- Continuous improvement focused

**Desirable**:

- Basicunderstanding of metallurgy, production or engineering.

**Qualifications**

**Essential**:

- Educated to 5 GCSE’s A-C including Maths and English.

**Desirable**:

- Educated to A-Level including Maths and English.
- University degree in an area related to business, engineering or production.
