The aim of the Fundraising Officer / Manager is to develop and execute our current strategy to receive sponsorships and funding that will help us reach more girls and deepen our impact. The role requires matching our organisational needs to corporate supporters and donors, aligning our key values, our impact aims and organisational strategy.

**The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for (but not exclusive to)**:

- Managing and leading on fundraising strategy with specific targets and KPIs
- Research and produce a pipeline of potential supporters across donor types, with a particular focus on corporate grants and sponsorships
- Manage and classify pipeline records effectively to support success rate and improve management of pipeline through CRM system
- Analyse our impact and M&E reports to strengthen our messaging to external supporters
- Building proposals and assets that match Girls United’s funding needs
- Building and nurturing relationships with funders through reporting of impact, presenting proposals and effective communication
- Support specific fundraising activities and events, with a particular focus on increasing unrestricted funding through corporate donors
- Collaborate and gather insight from wider team to understand strengths and opportunities of Girls United and ensure accurate representation of our community externally

**Qualities and Qualifications - Essential (E) / Desirable (D)**
- Minimum of 2 years experience in fundraising and/or stakeholder management (E)
- Competent understanding of building and executing fundraising campaigns (E)
- Minimum 2 years experience in project management, including establishment of KPIs and data analyses of results
- Capacity to work independently and proactively (E)
- Understanding of CRM systems (D)
- Experience working in youth sector, social impact and/or not-for-profit sector (D)
- Experience working in grassroots football and/or community sports (D)

**For entry on Management level**:

- Communications skills: Ability to build and deliver messaging that is purposeful that will support the Girls United “tone” and vision. This should include excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills alongside confidence in working with internal and external relationships.
- Relationship and Partnership Building: have a strong ability to build relationships with individuals, groups and organisations. Understanding the need of different audiences and different relationships.
- Organisational skills: Proactive individual capable of working independently, managing fast-paced deadlines and competent in juggling a broad range of work streams whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Growth Mindset: Motivated to have an impact within the organisation and with our communities; comfortable with stepping outside of their comfort zone; and willing to learn and adapt.
- Strategic decision-making: Excellent at analysing and understanding processes in order to determine priorities and comfortable making goal-oriented decisions.

**Hours**: Part-time/Full-time (minimum 16 hours per week)
