**Skills and experience needed**
- You will have proven management and leadership skills, with experience of managing Programmes of Study within the Criminology, Criminal Justice and Policing discipline.- You will have knowledge and expertise within the Criminology, Criminal Justice and Policing discipline and of strategic developments in the Higher Education sector and student management systems and processes. You will also have experience of analysing multiple sources of data and developing recommendations. Knowledge of financial and HR systems is desirable. Experience of chairing formal meetings, developing business plans or financial and strategic planning, and experience working with Academic Board or its subcommittees in desirable.- You will have line management experience. You will be able to motivate and manage teams, network and form good working relationships across the university and with external organisations including external professional bodies.- You will have credibility in the education sector, with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be a self-starter with a positive approach to problem solving and excellent organisation and management skills, particularly when working under pressure and managing multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines. You will be flexible, adaptable and able to work within a team, with excellent oral and written communication skills and cultural awareness, and an ability to build positive team spirit.- You will have an understanding of the University’s strategic plan, regulations and processes and employability plans. You will be proficient in English, ability to use technology to enhance delivery to students, have excellent organisation and self-management skills and the ability to negotiate with stakeholders.
