We have an exciting opportunity for a catering assistant you will be working as part of the Catering team to deliver of a range of food and beverages in line with Food Hygiene legislation and NHS Lanarkshire policies and procedures to meet the nutritional needs of Patients, Staff, and users of NHS Lanarkshire services You will be able to work alongside and support new staff in the working environment

**KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB**
- Knowledge of catering standards and related procedures.
- Required to undertake on-the-job training and induction (this will generally take 4-6 weeks, depending on hours/days worked), to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety including participation in risk-assessing individual tasks
- Required to undertake Prevention, Assessment & Management of Violence of Aggression (PaMOVA) training level 1 and level 2, if identified following an appropriate risk assessment
- Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training
- Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards
- Undertake and complete NHSS Catering Services Workbook.
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Required to obtain the Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology

This job is a relief post covering all over Lanarkshire Hospitals various sites with in PSSD catering Department - will be disccued at interview all sites.
Driving Licence Essential for role, milleage can be claimed to due traveling to sites.

Fully flexible over 7 days - Weekend will be essential to the role
