Maxillofacial Prosthetist

Provide the lead specialist role, to deliver the highest standard possible in practical, technical and managerial cover in a Maxillofacial and Orthodontic Laboratory Manage the day to day running of the Maxillofacial and Orthodontic Laboratory, constructing and providing a full range of highly complex functional, fixed and removable Maxillofacial, Orthodontic and Prosthodontic appliances and/or devices, by using a diverse range of materials, plaster, acrylics, waxes, silicons, cobalt chromes Ensuring the smooth run of the Laboratory. i.e. work ready in time for patients appointments Deliver high quality control standards of all locally manufactured appliances leaving the department Manage compliance on all incoming impressions, outgoing Medical devices and ensure MD regulations are met in full Manage departmental stock and spend against set budget and ensure accurate input of recharge data to the finance department Provide professional technical guidance and advice to clinicians, consultants and specialist doctors on materials and medical devices designs and discuss pros and cons Support and deliver the on the job training for junior staff Ability to adapt knowledge and skills to meet the needs of complex patient needs, using a wide spectrum of tools and resources Deliver to the patient a bespoke service that will address the needs of the patients, from routine cases to significant and life changing requirements following significant surgery to the facial area of the patient PLEASE REFER TO ATTACHED JOB DESCRIPTION FOR FULL DUTIES OF THE ROLE.
