Clear Choice Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a company based in **Knowsley **who are seeking an Production Operator. Our client is an international company that work within a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotive, power generation, oil & gas, construction, machine building medical and transportation and is a vital link in the manufacturing supply chain, employing over 5,700 people in 26 countries.

**Responsibilities**:
We are looking to recruit a Production Operator who’s primary role will be to work in Knowsley Goods in/Goods Out department, using material handling equipment to load and unload transport vehicles, carry out initial inspection of product, unpack clean and package completed product, organise transport via courier or customer collection. Ensure compliance with company IPR procedure for all non UK import and export shipments

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for all elements of goods in and goods out process including booking in visual inspection, cleaning
- Work with the site administration team to ensure compliance on all received and released shipments
- Organising transport via courier or customer collection
- Responsible for quality of work and level of production
- Inspect parts before and after processing to ensure preceding operations have been carried out correctly and to verify that your own work has met the required standards
- To gain a thorough understanding, through training provided and experience, of the factors that affect coating quality and be able to use
- that knowledge to ensure components are processed to approved methods
- Good housekeeping of own work area and contribute to the 5S improvements of the working environment
- Become familiar with the “check-work-check” process and be committed to a “right first time” approach to all tasks carried out
- To fully participate in both providing and receiving training to meet business needs
- To uphold your statutory duty of care for your own personal safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions
- To enable the company to meet its own legal duties and to report any hazardous situations or defective equipment
- Wear personal protective equipment provided by the company

**Qualifications, experience and skills**:

- Experience of using fork lift truck and other industrial handling equipment would be beneficial (training will also be provided)
- The ability to read engineering drawings and measurement techniques would be a benefit
- Sound numerical and literacy skills
- Experience of working in a team
- Ability to work accurately with a concern for quality
- A good communicator
- The ability to be flexible and use initiative

**Shift pattern**:
Day shift: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with half an hour unpaid lunch Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 12:30 pm on Friday

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
