Childcare Practitioner
- Part time - Permanent (term time)

£11.35 per hour

We are looking for a Childcare practitioner to join our team for 18 hours per week:
Monday to Thursday: 3pm - 6pm

Friday: 12pm to 6pm

You will be responsible for:

- Assisting with planning and delivering a suitable and varied programme of activities.
- Supervising and supporting children in a range of activities.
- Setting up and tidying away activities.
- Assisting with food preparation.
- Promoting the club’s policies and values.
- Maintaining hygiene standards in line with policies and regulations.
- Following safeguarding procedures and protocols.
- Administration duties relevant to the day to day operation of the club.
- Participating in training and development opportunities
- Supervising junior staff and deputising for Club manager on occasion.

You will need:

- To be enthusiastic, caring, encouraging and patient.
- The ability to develop positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents/carers.
- To work well in a team and communicate effectively and openly.
- To be punctual and reliable.
- A childcare qualification at SCQF level 7 or be working towards one.
- 1 years experience working in a childcare setting preferred.

The position requires a Disclosure Scotland check and registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

The Burgh Out of School Club is a registered charity run by a voluntary committee of parents/carers for parents/carers. We aim to provide fun, quality out of school care in a safe environment and for this care to be affordable and accessible to families.
