**Role**:Purchasing Co-ordinator

**Salary**:£23,000 pa

**Location**:Bardon (Hybrid)

**Hours**:Full-Time, 37.5 hrs per week, Monday - Friday

**Role Purpose**:Working as part of the NRS Healthcare purchasing team responsible for all aspects of buying and maintaining stock levels across all regional National Care depots across the UK.

**Key Accountabilities/Outputs**:

- Liaising with the National Care depots to maintain a stock holding to be able to provide for the needs of our customers
- React to changes in customer demand
- Ensure all system data is maintained
- Obtaining and maintaining all lead times/Minimum order qty’s and minimum order values
- Use extensive product knowledge to consider and source Close Technical Equivalents
- Discontinuations - managing any surplus stock levels and move stock to other depots if required.
- Resolve delivery issues /POD’s raised by the warehouse by liaising with suppliers quickly and efficiently
- To monitor stock usage and ensure that levels are maintained so that depots do not go out of stock of products.
- Stock Transfers - The movement of products between depots to ensure stock availability and reduce new stock purchases.
- Recalls & FSN’s - Any products that the supplier has recalled and faulty items.
- Ensure that all orders are complete and that all data has transferred from ICON to SAP correctly.
- Monitoring invoices are cleared and released for payment.
- Monitor and investigate unplanned carriage charges
- Expediting - Ensuring suppliers have received orders and update all delivery dates
- Take a proactive approach to ensure best practice is maintained and built upon on a day-to-day basis.

- Service levels (stock availability) more than 97%
- Purchase orders raised on time.
- Outstanding vendor invoice queries to target.
- Product and supply chain cost savings to target
- Monitoring vendor delivery performance

- PC Literate (Excel and Word) is a must
- Excellent communication skill
- Leadership skills

**Experience, Skills and Knowledge**:

- Experience in a purchasing team environment
- Naturally numerate
- Must be able to work as part of a team and be prepared to be flexible as deadlines and priorities sometimes change
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Must have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to communicate confidently at all levels is essential
- Knowledge of SAP beneficial but not essential
