We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Radiographer to join our friendly multi professional team in our award winning Wirral Breast Centre based in Clatterbridge Hospital. You will ideally have the PG Certificate in Mammography and be HCPC Registered to provide a fully comprehensive breast service to the women of the Wirral.

We are committed to promoting Advanced Practice and have a Consultant radiographer in post as well as Advanced Practitioners

You must be dedicated and committed to providing a high quality service to our patients customers and colleagues and have a flexible approach to working and be part of a team who provide a fully integrated breast service to the women of the Wirral.

- Performing mammography and associated specialist views and assisting radiologist/advanced practitioner in performing specialist procedures.
- Ensuring the care and comfort of patients in the department and in particular during mammographic procedures.
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly Quality Assurance testing of X-Ray/ultrasound equipment is carried out and the monitoring of the results and records.
- Self-assessment of own standards using regional protocols as per NHSBSP.
- Prioritising own workload, organising and executing work effectively, identifying any risks to the Principal Breast Care Manager.
- Preparing individuals, environment, equipment and materials appropriately prior to each procedure.
- Support new staff, trainees, assistant practitioners and students.
- Be responsible for own continuing professional development/education/professional training to ensure knowledge and skills are kept up to date and be able to produce portfolio evidence of this when requested.
- Demonstrate ability to work without supervision.
- To attend audit and MDT meetings when necessary.
- Extending and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and other hospital staff.

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have a standard/enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 month.
