G.A.Parke & Sons Ltd (Parkes Hire) is a family run business with over 50 years experience in the supply of plant and equipment to the construction, event and DIY customer.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Hire Counter Advisor to join our team at Parkes Hire. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to analyze customer needs, and proficiency in data entry.
**Responsibilities**:
- Analyze customer inquiries and provide accurate information or guidance in a prompt and professional manner
- Taking and processing orders for tools and plant hires
- Processing tool and PPE sales within our shop
- Ordering sales stock
- Liaising with staff members, customers and suppliers
- Stocking and maintaining sales goods
- Delivering equipment at busy times
- Partaking in training courses as necessary
- Keeping work environment clean and tidy
- Assisting with other tasks if required
**Skills**:
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
- Excellent analytical skills to understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Proficient in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and ability to handle customer inquiries professionally

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
