An exciting opportunity has arisen within Central North West London for the role of a Senior Administrator.
We are looking to recruit a highly professional, experienced and enthusiastic Senior Administrator to provide a comprehensive and high quality administrative support to the service. This role involves working within a small but dynamic team of administration staff to provide an effective, courteous and welcoming service for all patients, carers, visitors and staff.
This role involves working with all staff within the service including administrative colleagues and clinical staff to ensure the appropriate level of support is provided to facilitate the smooth running of the service.
The ability to work as a flexible team member is essential.

The post holder is a member of the Community Nursing Administration team. The responsibilities of the team are to provide a high quality administrative service to the Community Nursing team.
The post holder is a member of the Community Nursing Administration team and will provide a comprehensive and high quality administrative support service to the Community Nursing teams, who in turn provide domiciliary nursing services to housebound residents in Merton requiring nursing care.
The post holder will assist in the organisation of the teams' workload, manage queries from patients, carers, other professionals and communicate effectively with all members of the team.
The post holder will work collaboratively with team members and be able to act on their own initiative in dealing with day to day issues.

Job responsibilities
- To demonstrate excellent customer care and communication skills in the provision of a front line service for the team, assisting clients, carers, GPs and other health and social care professionals
- To maintain a detailed and accurate message recording system, taking appropriate action where necessary, and contacting members of the team as appropriate if messages require urgent / early attention
- Take initial responsibility for the initial local resolution of problems and complaints that may arise with staff/clients. Exercise negotiating skills and tact to achieve agreement and co-operation
- To be fully aware of confidentiality guidelines and exercise judgment and care when exchanging confidential and sensitive patient information
- Recording of confidential and sensitive information in accordance with procedures, within negotiated time scales, and using a full range of IT packages
- General photocopying, scanning and filing of confidential and non-confidential information
- Manage and maintain all filing systems including electronic
- Organise and maintain notice boards with relevant and updated information as well as co-ordinating the departmental resource centre
- Collect, record and disseminate information regarding the nursing teams capacity availability and schedule to relevant internal or external departments, managers, or organisations as required
- Ensure that up-to-date local policy manuals are available electronically and are available within the department
- Organise interpreters as required
- Implement and maintain efficient administrative systems. Review existing practice for own area, identify issues with current processes and propose changes for improvement
- Respond sensitively to queries from patients and carers who may be in a stressed or anxious state
