**Job Title: Ground Maintenance Operative**
**Location: St James Park**
**Salary: £12.20 per hour PAYE or £13.50 per hour Umbrella**

**Job Summary**: My client are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ground Maintenance Operative to join our team at the prestigious St James Park. As a Ground Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the grounds are well-maintained, visually appealing, and safe for visitors. Experience in ground maintenance and a strong work ethic are essential for this role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform regular ground maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, and hedge trimming to maintain the aesthetics and safety of the park.
- Operate and maintain a variety of landscaping equipment and tools to ensure their functionality and safety.
- Assist in planting and maintaining trees, shrubs, flowers, and other plants to enhance the beauty of the park.
- Conduct litter picking, rubbish removal, and cleaning activities to maintain a clean and tidy environment for visitors.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and safety of facilities and equipment.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in ground maintenance or landscaping is essential.
- A proactive attitude and strong work ethic are crucial for success in this role.
- Knowledge and proficiency in operating various landscaping equipment and tools.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- A valid driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
