With our two well-established factories located in Salisbury and our main manufacturing plant in Derby, we are committed to delivering high-quality, customized furniture solutions that enhance the comfort and well-being of residents in care facilities.
As a Designer at our Derby manufacturing plant, you will play a pivotal role in creating innovative and functional furniture designs using Solidworks, Biesse Works, and AlphaCAM. Your designs will be a cornerstone of our commitment to producing top-notch furniture for care homes. You will collaborate closely with our production teams to ensure that your designs translate seamlessly into the manufacturing process.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Utilize your expertise in Solidworks, Biesse Works, and AlphaCAM to develop furniture designs that align with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications that guide the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and sales to ensure the successful execution of design concepts.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques to contribute fresh and innovative ideas to our product range.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, sharing your knowledge and skills with fellow team members.
**Job Requirements**:
- Proficiency in Solidworks, Biesse Works, and AlphaCAM is essential. Applicants without demonstrated expertise in these software packages will not be considered.
- Proven experience in furniture design, preferably within the context of MFC / MDF materials.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to create precise technical drawings.
- Creative flair and the ability to balance aesthetics with functionality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Prior experience in care home furniture design is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work from our Derby manufacturing plant.
