Optimise By Recruitment are seeking a proactive Bandsaw or Stores Operative. Reporting directly to the Goods in Team Leader, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in a similar capacity.
- Confident in setting up and operating the bandsaw with millimetre tolerances.
- Forklift Truck (FLT) license.
- Knowledge of engineering and welding consumables (an advantage).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a hands-on and reliable approach.
- Excellent housekeeping skills aligned with 5S requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel (not essential).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Check and book supplier deliveries, allocating items to production or stock.
- Collaborate with fabricators and the goods in team leader to execute the daily cutting schedule in line with production requirements.
- Maintained the bandsaw, including blade replacement, and organised the saw shop according to 5S standards.
- Manage stock within agreed limits.
- Issue requisitions to the purchasing team for production and packaging consumables.
- Perform final inspections of products before dispatch.
- Pack, palletise, and shrink-wrap finished goods for dispatch.
- Organise paperwork for vending machines, dispatch, and suppliers.
- Offload and load deliveries from suppliers/to customers using FLT.
- Liaise with functional areas, including production and finance.
- Make recommendations for improving stores and saw shop operations.
- Conduct deliveries to cover holidays/busy times.
- Adhere to all Health and safety guidelines.

Monday - Thursday 07:45 - 16:45

FRIDAY 07:45 - 14:15

**Salary**: £11.50-£12.50 per hour
