**Job title: Pastoral Lead**

**Salary: £26K -37K**

**Contract: Permanent, Full-time**

Leader Education is working in partnership with an **SEN school** based in Burnley and are recruiting a **Pastoral Lead.**

A Pastoral Lead plays an integral role in the school community as they are responsible for the pastoral, SMSC, socio-emotional resilience and personal development of students within the school. The role requires an individual who is committed to implementingframeworks for emotional support in a therapeutic manner for SEN and at-risk students.

Responsibilities in this role:

- Providing pastoral care and welfare checks on a day-to-day basis
- Making sure safeguarding procedures are being adhered to
- Planning effective strategies and interventions for SEN or at-risk students
- Promoting positive engagement with education
- Monitoring student attendance

To excel at this role, you would need:

- Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with the student and all parties involved.
- Trauma informed experience to handle complex situations
- To be skilled in deescalating situations and conflict resolution
- A calm and sensitive personality

**Teaching experience or experience in an SEN setting would be preferred.**
