**Therapeutic Support Worker**

**Are you an experienced care professional who is looking for a rewarding career?**

We are seeking an experienced Therapeutic Support Worker to work with a lovely young boy with cerebral palsy in his home and the community.

This post would ideally suit somebody with experience of young children, who is musical and happy to get on the floor and play. We are seeking somebody who is keen to assist with therapy activities and work alongside the therapy team and family.

This may suit a qualified nursery nurse, nurse or therapist, or an experienced support worker who is keen to develop their skills. Additional bespoke training will be given.

**Your duties, hours and pay**:
Your duties will include supporting him with personal care, feeds, management of his PEG, taking him to therapy appointments and school, social and leisure activities and generally providing a fun and stimulating environment to help him with his progress.

The salary for this role is between £15 to £20 per hour, depending on experience. A company pension is offered.

The hours of work are a minimum of 18 per week, with a potential to increase in the future - this could be combined with working for others supported by our Client. You will be required to work full days on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some additional mornings.

**Key skills, knowledge and experience**:

- You should have previous experience of working with children.
- Valid UK driving licence and car ownership **is essential**.
- You should be trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g., completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course).
