Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner on behalf of a well-established, successful building and construction services company based in Leeds

Working closely with the Head of Finance, Duties & Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner will include:

- Posting of standard journals (insurance, management charges, depreciation etc)
- Posting any other cost charges as required
- Processing prepayment journal
- Review of costs posted to jobs and re-allocate costs when require
- Detailed review of CVR submissions
- Consolidate regional P&Ls
- Maintain WIP schedule
- Calculate and post WIP journals
- Assist in maintaining full visibility of business balance sheet
- Ledger's profitability agrees with CVRs
- Contract information is recorded correctly
- Obtain visibility of forecasts of turnover and profit
- Build relationships with project QS's and commercial managers across the group
- Regularly review costs to identify cases of mispostings, double payments and causes of erosion of margin
- Preparation of weekly 13-week cash flow forecast and analysis of variances
- Working with project surveyors on obtaining visibility of project cash flow forecasts
- Assist with audit requests
- Assist with posting of year end journals
- Assist with preparation and review of statutory accounts
- Assist in preparation of budgets
- ACCA/CIMA qualified or finalist
- Experience of operating in large businesses
- Exposure or experience of FP&A
- Commercial and business partnering bias
- Tech savvy - familiar with Power BI or similar tools (or showing strong aptitude to learn these tool)
- Ability to work with varied systems and data their produce
- Familiar with Microsoft's Business Central (or its older version called Navision) - desirable
- Construction, utilities or similar contracting business experience - desirable
- Desire to learn and drive continuous improvement - required
- Excellent attention to detail
