**About the Role**

The Strategic Space Management team is recruiting for a Space Planner within a growing team. The role will be pivotal in supporting the spatial brief development and delivery of projects, layout planning and technical support within the team through the production of CAD drawings, surveys and technical detailing.

This is an opportunity for a space planner to join a driven, dynamic team as we develop appropriate spatial solutions to support our Russell Group institution which along with academic excellence, highly values diversity and social justice.

**About You**

We are looking for someone who:

- Is highly proficient in using 2D AutoCAD for layout planning and is familiar with working to established CAD standards;
- Is familiar with relevant legislation and guidance on space planning and design.
- Has a high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues across the university;
- Has the ability to integrate into an innovative and customer focused professional team.

**About the Department**

The Strategic Space Management Team, in Estates and Facilities, are responsible for understanding the opportunities and limitations of our Estate in being able to accommodate QMUL building users and their activities, with a key focus on delivering growth/changes to support QMUL’s 2030 Strategy. Space and scenario planning, developing, and embedding layout and space standards are significant aspects to the success of these growth objectives.

We are hiring 2 Space Planners. These posts will be based at the Department W building near the Mile End Campus in London. They are full time (35 hours per week), permanent appointments. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £37,348 - £43,592 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
