**An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an operational team that will help to revolutionise the way diagnostics are delivered.**

Community Diagnostic Centres will deliver additional, digitally connected, diagnostic capacity in England, providing patients with a coordinated set of diagnostic tests in the community, in as few visits as possible, enabling an accurate and fast diagnosis on a range of clinical pathways. This team will lead on the development of CDCs within the NCA.

The NCA is at the forefront of this development and in an ideal position to be one of the first areas in the country to implement this programme. In addition to supporting the development of the CDC, you will also support the programme team in the ongoing development and improvement of several clinical pathways. The post holder will play a central role in ensuring the development and delivery of the CDC programme across the NCA. The post holder will lead, develop, promote and evaluate a flexible service user focused service ensuring an efficient and effective use of resources for the services.

**Main duties of the job**:

- Aid Programme Managers in supporting Workstream SROs and Workstream Leads to sustain delivery against the programme plan.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with key internal and external stakeholders across the programme and Trust Executive.
- Provide information to Programme Managers regarding actions and progress against the programme plan.
- With the support of Project Managers, produce regular highlight reports to inform the SRO and Programme Director on achievements, progress and risks.
- Responsible for taking high quality formal minutes of programme governance committees and meetings as appropriate.
- Aid Programme Managers in the overall management and delivery of the programme via an effective programme management structure.
- Support Programme Managers in the development, maintenance and delivery of a robust programme plan.
- Develop and implement systems and processes for programme activities.
- Support Programme Managers in the implementation of risk management strategies and systems, ensuring that risk registers and issue logs are maintained.
- Provide diary management and support to the Director of Planning and Delivery.
- Supporting the development of a new clinical service by assisting the development of a number of new operating policies.
- Undertake continuous professional development, seeking opportunities to enhance skills which can be identified via a Personal Development Plan.

**Freedom to Act**

Work within defined protocols; guidance will be provided by Programme Managers and the post holder will be expected to work independently with objectives managed and assessed regularly.

**Partnership Working**

Cooperate with the wider programme team and Trust Executive colleagues. Develop partnership working with key stakeholders, including key clinicians and commissioners.

- Support the Programme Managers in ensuring compliance with policies on equality and diversity. Making Every Contact Count
- Staff should use their interactions with the public to give them additional advice on health and wellbeing.
