Warehouse Assistant

**Hours**: Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00 or 09:30-18:00 alternating shift patterns

**Location**: Exponential Group - Langley Park and Bumpers Farm Chippenham

**Reports to**: Warehouse Manager

**Objective**:To increase effectiveness, profitability and customer satisfaction. Adding value to the company through efficient working practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, inspect them for accuracy and quality, and record any discrepancies or damages.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including organising, labelling, and tracking stock items.
- Order Fulfilment: Prepare orders for shipment, including picking and packing products, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers.
- Quality Control: Monitor inventory for damaged or expired items and report any issues to the Warehouse Manager.
- Safety and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment by following safety protocols and assisting with warehouse maintenance tasks.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of inventory levels, shipments, and any inventory adjustments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure efficient operations and meet customer order deadlines.
- Perform regular physical inventory checking of stock against stock records.
- Verbal and written communication to customers (internal and external)
- Work closely with the Procurement team to ensure supplier delivery compliance.
- Assist with ad hoc Purchasing administrative duties such as data entry.
- Dealing with invoice queries relating to goods receipting.
- As required in line with business growth, move forward to support training
- Coordinate laboratory remote configuration facilities, ensuring visibility for engineering
- Support compliance and audit requests

**Skills Required**:
**Essential**
- Microsoft Office, in-particular Outlook and have a good knowledge of Excel
- Proficiency with inventory systems
- Must have excellent organisational skills
- Able to work independently with a problem-solving attitude
- Must be a clear, confident communicator.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
- To be able to drive a car or van.
- To be able to produce clear alcohol and drugs test results on demand.

**Desirable**
- Experience in a similar environment and familiarity of warehousing practices.
- Use of forklift or stacker truck experience or licence (training can be provided).
- Proficiency with inventory systems.
