We are looking for an **outstanding leader **who can demonstrate a proven successful track record, comprehensive understanding of both the **Education and Care setting for SEN**, and the drive to develop positive and engaging relationships with all the key stakeholders working closely with our teams. You will be an **expert **in your field, bringing the best in classroom experience alongside a clear vision and understanding of the link between leadership and true impact.

You will have a real eye for detail - knowing that our absolute **commitment **to the **Safeguarding **of the children and young people is our top priority. You will be able to demonstrate a detailed and insightful understanding of the regulatory environment that we operate in and the demands that this places on all aspects of our work.

You will be working in a 52-week **residential specialist college** providing quality care and education for young people between the **ages of 16 and 25** with a diagnosis of **autism**, or whose difficulties place them on the autistic continuum. The students often have **complex needs, associated learning difficulties and behaviours of concern**. The college's curriculum has been devised to prepare the students for adulthood and to equip them with the skills and knowledge to achieve their personal best in adult life. This is delivered in a variety of settings, including within students’ homes, vocational placements both internally and externally. As well as learning within the classrooms, the students are fortunate enough to take part in various outdoor activities such as animal therapy and various activities based around nature throughout the college sites.

The college is continuing on their journey of improving our provision, and the past academic year has been focused on improving the quality of education, the environment, and developing the collaboration between care, education and their clinical team input and support.

Located within a rural setting on the outskirts of **Yeovil **spread across 3 sites with over 40 acres, with forest area, small farm areas and ample outdoor spaces

You must be able to maintain a **positive **and **professional **manner despite sometimes challenging and intense situations, handling them with **enthusiasm**, **creativity **with a hands-on approach, the reward and satisfaction will be second to none. You will have a unique opportunity to shape and deliver the long-term strategy for the College and our drive to transform the lives of our young people.

This will be a **full time** position, working **40 hours **per week, all year round. The hours of work may vary, however will usually be around **8:30 am - 4:30 pm.**
