**Job Title: Tenancy Sustainment Officer**
**Contract: Permanent Part Time**
**Hours: 14**
**Location: Epsom**
**Salary: Up to £14,063 plus £480 car allowance per annum**
**Driver Required: Yes**
**Purpose of the Job**
I am representing a client based in Epsom, who are looking for someone to help the organisation respond to the challenges posed by welfare reform by providing a comprehensive and up to date benefits advice service, promoting financial and digital inclusion, improving opportunity for employment, education and training, and promoting the environmental agenda.
**Main Responsibilities**
- You will encourage our customers' independence and support them to maximise their income and minimise their outgoings, while keeping up to date with developments in welfare reform and other government policies which will have an impact on the organisation's income.
- Your main duties will include providing practical advice, information, and support on a wide range of topics including welfare benefits and income maximisation.
- With a proven track record in achieving positive outcomes, you will identify and assist customers to sustain their tenancies and make improvements to their circumstances.
- You will work closely with internal and external partners to support our residents and should possess outstanding customer service skills, along with excellent networking and communication abilities.
**Requirements**:
- A relevant housing, welfare benefit or financial inclusion qualification.
- Knowledge of welfare benefits/reforms, tenant, and landlord legislation.
- Experience of:
- Providing welfare advice in a housing environment
- Providing debt advice
- Providing money advice such as budgeting
- Debt recovery
- Using a housing management system (preferably Open Housing)
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office) and written and verbal communication skills.
